The Pennsylvania Chapter of the Northeast Big Buck Club was
established in 2007. Its goal is to provide Pennsylvania hunters easy
access to certified measurers, banquets, shows and measuring sessions
being held across the state by the Northeast Big Buck Club.
The Pennsylvania Chapter also provides hunters
the opportunity to have their deer measured, recorded and listed in the
states only online, photo, record book. Thus, allowing hunters to have
their deer recognized on a state and national level while receiving all the
benefits that the Northeast Big Buck Club provides.
The Northeast Big Buck Club was founded in 1996 by Jeff Brown and Bob
Fontaine. Its mission has always been to preserve our hunting memories
and traditions for our children and grandchildren, and to provide them
with the opportunity to enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer.
The Northeast Big Buck Club is an all volunteer not-for-profit
organization of local deer hunters. We work together to bring many
services to hunters in the Northeast, including scoring and
recordkeeping for hunters who legally harvest whitetail bucks.
We are dedicated to the preservation of deer hunting through local
efforts in conservation, education, safety and community services. While
celebrating the great hunting and outdoor traditions of the Northeastern
United States.
The Northeast Big Buck Club promotes "Fair Chase" hunting and will
only except entries under this pretense. Any buck harvested while in the
confines of an enclosure, or taken while not in compliance of all state
game laws are not eligible for entry.
Providing the most extensive measurer training classes in the
country. The Northeast Big Buck Club focus's solely on the fine
intricacies of the whitetail deer. There are currently over 150
measurers in eight different states; Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine,
New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
The Northeast Big Buck Club uses the Boone & Crockett measuring
system. However, all entries will be listed and ranked by their gross
score. Bucks will be given credit for every inch of antler grown. Click
on our "Records" to view all of the Pennsylvania trophies listed in our
online, photo, record book.
With your $25.00 entry fee you will be listed in the Northeast Big
Buck Club's hard copy record book. Your photo and ranking (in
Pennsylvania) will be listed on the Pennsylvania Chapters online, photo,
record book. You will receive a color, computer printout of your final
score sheet. A one year subscription to Northeast Big Buck News (the
official magazine of the NBBC), and a supporting member patch and
membership card.
The Northeast Big Buck Club will also except previously measured deer
from the Boone & Crockett Club, The Pope & Young Club, Safari Club
International, Buck Masters and the Longhunters. Forward a copy of the
score sheet along with your $25.00 entry fee and three photos of the
